I am finally registered. Quite a process. I tried to just post on here last week as I was not sure how to register. I am not sure where my post went!
I saw Dr. Wheeler last Wed. I was glad that I had taken a few of my most recent labs along as my local doctor's office had not sent anything or else faxing just did not work! My BP was up there. Of course, they really pumped it too hard as my arm was red afterwards. She wanted to test my cortisol to see if my adrenals are low as they can cause BP problems. We talked about Nature-throid, and I asked about WP. She had not heard about WP which surprised me since she is considered a Top Doc. She told me she'd check on WP, and when she came back in the room she had apparently done so. However, she still wanted me to go with the cytomel added to Levoxyl or Nature-throid. I mentioned my BP was up on N-T and not on the old Levoxyl. I could not remember another reason why I did not stay on it so I agreed to try Nature-throid again as she thought my BP would be fine on a higher dose. She planned to order it after my labs are back. However, I read some notes I had written while on it, and discovered I also had some sinus problems while on it. I also 'googled' side effects of Nature-throid. There were around five listed and higher BP is one of them. Now, I feel that I must let them know that N-T may be a problem in a higher strength also. I have been taking some of my old N-T for a few days, and do not feel so great on it today. My throat was scratchy this morning. I am wondering if anyone else experienced higher BP on the newer Levoxyl or N-T. I plan to do some research for sure! My labs should be back tomorrow. Ii is good to see so many of you on here. Hope everyone is doing well. Sue

I think it was a little high for 2 or 3 weeks and then went back to normal. I am actually doing really well now thyroid wise. I take Levoxyl .125 mcgs Janet

Sue,
Just a quick note on WP Throid vs Nature throid ... I studied both closely as I cannot take the new Levoxyl ever again as it completely shut down my digestive system. The main difference is WP Thyroid only has 3 inactives (they only list 2 on WP Thyroid website, but do further research) it's Shows 3 Total and the Natire Throid has a about 6 total inactives. Again you really need to research a little deeper on the net to find out what is actually in both of them. I've been using WP Thyroid under my tongue at night time and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting there. Not sure if I ever sit in the upper range of my Free Levels again, as I did for several years on old Levoxyl/Cytomel but I'm feeling much better and though I'm having to see a urologist now to treat my bladder for an IC flare up due to the new Levoxyl I'm doing much better at being able to empty my bladder on my own. Which is a good thing lol. The new Levoxly for me totally shut down my whole digestive system and that was really scary. As I had never experienced that feeling of not being able to empty my bladder or Bowels before. And though my numbers weren't bad on the new Levoxyl it dropped my BP to an extremely low top and bottom number and oddly kept it in the 80/50 range, yet I had horrible fluid retention. So again research WP Thyroid and you'll see all 3 inactives it's one of only ones with the least amount of junk in it. I'm finally getting there yay!! And No More horrible daily Fatique : ))
Take Care and good Luck Stacey : )

Stacey:
Good to hear you are doing better on WP Thyroid. It is too bad Erfa reformulated their thyroid early this year - the old formula was really good for most people. Obviously not good for me. You have to watch those Canadian pharmacies though, on two ocassions I got expired prescriptions. I tried to get my money back on those with no success.
Wow we have font choices now - this is new to me.

Forgot to mention. New glitch in my day. I need to refill my compounded and the doctor who prescribed it is on extended leave of absence. She does not have anyone covering for her. I went to another doc this morning and he will not prescribe compounded. I swear the medical up here is trying to make my life more difficult than it should be.

Hi Everyone... I am so glad that everyone is feeling better. Just think of the drawings and Avatars we could have made last year when we were all in the HOLE. I am attempting humor at something that I will never forget and a group of strong women who bonded and helped each other make it through some very difficult times and are still sharing on a wonderful new blog/forum. I am really into the AVATAR. I really just got my hair cut all off and very short. I was in shock when I could not pull it back into a ponytail. Long overdo for a change. Stacey, did you not mention that you are a hairstylist? I was married to a very successful hairstylist and when we divorced I missed the hairstylist much more than the husband. I think I am going for all my blood work the end of September. I love my Doctor but I dread doing anything medical since the nightmare that occurred with our medicine last year. Cabro, are you feeling better on the blood pressure medicine?. That was another terrible journey. Karen, sorry to hear about your tooth. Janet, are your Hair and nails doing better with the levoxyl? My hair is finally getting back to its old thickness, My hair was very thin and falling out on the Sandoz. Take care ladies and have a nice and relaxing Labor Day. Janet, I again thank you for all the effort AND SUCCESS in bringing us all back together....Love....Kathy Kat, My fingernails are amazing now. My hair is growing so much too My hubby cleaned the drains (hopefully) for the last time in my shower. It was falling out so bad from when I was taking Synthroid and also from being hypo but not anymore

Hi Bonnie I am so happy to hear you are doing so much better!! I am too. I too am on Levoxyl .125mcgs daily and I am so much better. I know exactly what you mean when you write about the dark days, I sure had them too when my TSH was 76.81 but those days are all behind us now ... THANK GOD! I am so glad you have been so busy and getting out and having fun!! So good to hear!! You are so very lucky to have a friend in Kat, she helped me so much about giving new Levoxyl time to work when i was feeling impatient and scared. As for stockpiling ... so am I so don't think it's at all absurd. Thyroid Happy Love, Janet

Just wanted to let everybody know I will still keep doing the admin stuff. I didn't think I had time but it's all set up so there's really nothing much to do. I am so busy with work right now but I can make time to check in every night. It's so important to me that we all keep in touch Also... in case you didn't know, there are private messages here that are just like email. At the top after you sign in go to messages (top of screen in the purple area under the word FORUM) ... you can write to anybody who is registered and they can check their IN BOX under messages. It's the same as email. It looks blank until you use the drop down box right side to chose inbox or outbox. I will send you all a test message so you can see how it works then please reply back that you got it. Thanks so much Janet

Hello Everyone
I thought I would give you an update on my Thyroid Journey..I think it's..The 10th Chapter Lol!!
Anyway I had my Dr Appt yesterday and though I didn't have current labs (most recent were in done in last week July during all my Thyroid meds usage...
TSH 2.2 (High for Me) Free T4 1.04 (L) For Me RT3 19 N, but High For Me Free T3 3.1 Normal but I like it Higher... Again these were in late July (I had finally gotten off The New Levoxyl For Good, Tried Compounding for a Few Weeks and was actually Not taking Anything During My Labs, Because I Felt So Miserable and Off.. Though My Numbers are somewhat OK... Remember..
("It's All About How You Feel")
I was so Daily Fatigued and Exhausted, But dealing with horrible Fluid/Bladder Retention, Weight Gain, Joint Pain, Muscle Burning and Extreme Anxiety. I gave myself a 2 week vacation off all Thyroid Meds in hopes of Feeling Better.
In Which I Finally started to, I could tell my RT3 was coming Down and all the lethargic Feelings were Fading.
I then Started back with Cytomel only 5 mcg in AM and 5 in Mid afternoon. In Hopes of Clearing out the RT 3 that had built up from the other stuff. I started to calm down, however I was blown up like a water balloon and that's when I went searching for a Urologist to help with Horrible Bladder Flare of IC.
I also was sitting with the Lowest Levels of BP I had ever had in my life. And on top of all that I had gained 13 lbs in a pretty short duration while taking continuous Thyroid Meds. ( I have the Selfie pics to prove it, Sadly...)
Well after So Much Research and Almost a Nervous Break Down from Anxiety etc I finally settled in with WP Thyroid (1 grain, split 2x a day and Cytomel on same schedule. And have been staying There!! : )
Again I don't have new labs as it's really too soon and working in between my traveling so they'll happen next month.
Yesterday at the Dr I was down from 140lbs to 127lbs. My normal is usually 122-125... I was Thrilled : )) That happened in one in half months after getting off the new Levoxyl and compounded and just giving my body a break. Plus I had just started to go to the Urologist. So I'm sure a lot of that was water weight & Toxins...
And My BP was...98/68 YAY! ; ) that has to be a new High for me, as I have always sat on the low side but during the trail of taking all the different Thyroid meds I was at like 75/45 or even lower if I went through my BP Machine's Memory and typed them all out.
I'm so excited to Feel like I am Truly making Strides in this so very odd journey we all were thrown into.
I know I need to increase iron, as I am Anemic, so between Diet and adding Black Strap Molasses to my Morning Drinks Hopefully I'll get that restored In due time.
I cannot take iron drops or tablets b/c of my IBS and cannot take Vitamin C due to it irritating my IC, it's bad for the bladder but I honestly feel I'm on the Right Path and I will Get There!! : ))
I'm Loving the WP Thyroid and of Course I'll never Give up My Cytomel, I'll be excited to see where my labs are next month, However I'm just sooo Happy that I am Feeling Sooo Much Better and I Now Know Traveling Back for 2 Weeks that I am Going to Be Ok!! : ))
It's so interesting to read each of our journeys and the success we are each finally starting to find.. That has to be due to such a great support system, great information that was shared and has guided each of us into our own "Right Direction."
Well that's my Story so far, all I can Say is Thank You to Each of You for Being There For Me During some of the most difficult times of my life when I wasn't sure if I was going to make and during those times I really didn't care if I did. I'm so grateful and feel so Fabulous Today!!! Hugs to Each of You!! XOXOXO
Stacey : ))

Hi Everyone...I am so sorry to hear about Carol. I am so glad to hear that everyone is feeling better. I need your prayers and energy because a recent biopsy revealed that my cancer returned and I am having laser surgery today. I could not and would not ever do chemo or radiation ever again. I am going to try the Immunology Approach. I will explain everything in detail after I get through tomorrow. I am so grateful that Janet brought us back together through this forum. Thank-you Janet and I am so happy levoxyl is working for you. Bonnie has been such a true friend and source of support for me throughout this terrible ordeal. Next week is blood work for me regarding thyroid and everything else functions. Just got tired and weary after all that we went through last year because of the PHARMA POWERS and how they really hurt so many people just because of greed and not giving a damn. I will write and let you know the outcome and future protocol for PREVENTION....Love....Kat
