Hi Everyone... I am so glad that everyone is feeling better. Just think of the drawings and Avatars we could have made last year when we were all in the HOLE. I am attempting humor at something that I will never forget and a group of strong women who bonded and helped each other make it through some very difficult times and are still sharing on a wonderful new blog/forum. I am really into the AVATAR. I really just got my hair cut all off and very short. I was in shock when I could not pull it back into a ponytail. Long overdo for a change. Stacey, did you not mention that you are a hairstylist? I was married to a very successful hairstylist and when we divorced I missed the hairstylist much more than the husband. I think I am going for all my blood work the end of September. I love my Doctor but I dread doing anything medical since the nightmare that occurred with our medicine last year. Cabro, are you feeling better on the blood pressure medicine?. That was another terrible journey. Karen, sorry to hear about your tooth. Janet, are your Hair and nails doing better with the levoxyl? My hair is finally getting back to its old thickness, My hair was very thin and falling out on the Sandoz. Take care ladies and have a nice and relaxing Labor Day. Janet, I again thank you for all the effort AND SUCCESS in bringing us all back together....Love....Kathy

Hi All:
Sorry about my Avatar - I tried to download a picture of me with my collie but got only the collie. They say the dog owner and dog look alike. Not quite with Whisper - she has black, grey and white hair which is normal for a Blue Meryle. They don't have an Avator hair style with a bun on top. so...I will download an actual picture. As a typical dog lover, most all of my pictures are of DOGS. I am having a difficult time FINDING the right picture that is farliy current.
Glad to hear everyone is doing much better than last year. Yes, we are a strong group. Now if we can pull in some new people, that would be great. I have two friends READING the Forum, but not contributing....YET.
Janet: I don't see one, but how about making a thread with Thyroid Facts? Such as the inactive ingredients and every other fact we had on the old Forum? Can you set up something like that? I will help submit the facts, such as how to find a compounding pharmacy in your area, info on desiccated, and the like. I re read the old forum occasionally and each time I find how packed with thyroid info it is. No wonder so many people commented on how good our old Forum was.
Well, I am sending some laugh medicine/comfort to all of your e mails. Have a great Labor Day!
Karen

You're welcome Karen. Please feel free to post an info you have. I think we have enough sub-boards for now but you can post it in any one of the categories I made I think. Thanks so much and make sure you post in the Synthroid sub-board. Are you still taking it?

Janet, My goodness, why does it say "God" above my avatar? I certainly didn't put that there.....seems a bit disrespectful to me. Maybe it is because of something I put in my avatar? Do you have any ideas?

Hello,
Just a quick stop by as I've been super busy. But Carol from what I'm looking at just briefly it appears that each time we each write a post it raises out "star" approval. For instance " junior member" - now the more you post that "higher your status" is what could be possibly happening.
I'm not for sure on that, however just in my quick glance over this morning that is what I'm taking from it. It's a Fun Free- Style message Forum chat board so it maybt just be using a Free base description as each member continues to ad posts to their name profile.
This is just a guess at first glance I could be way off base on this one, but that's what I'm taking it possibly mean. Again this is a more Fun Free Style Board so the star & ratings will tend to be more Free- Style.
Just my opinion, I wouldn't sweat it, we know you well enough to never just add that to your profile : ))
Take Care Girls, Anither busy week almost done & then straight into a Busy weekend. I'm hoping I can sit down and write an update soon, but I'm also hoping to get over to the Beach if possible : )) Lots of good Surf to Waych again this weekend!! : )) Go Surfers!!
Stacey : )

I deleted that "God" Thing. I think it was just a default on this site as, like Stacey wrote, a fun kinda thing. I think it was just wrong too ... so hopefully it's gone now
I also deleted junior member and made us all "Amazing Person" because we all are
JanetAnd Cabro, I am so loving that hat!!

I'm not sure if people are seeing the posts in the other threads. I posted under the Levoxyl thread the other day and no one has responded there, but there have been new posts here on the main thread. When I get e-mail about new posts it directs me here to the main thread, so I don't know if people ever find out about new posts to the other threads.

Welcome to your new ProBoards forum! If you need any assistance with your new forum, our staff is available to assist you seven days a week. Please visit our Support Forum at support.proboards.com. Hello everyone, I finally found time to get on. I did not see where I need to sign in. Hoping this will post. I am heading over to see Dr. Wheeler for a first visit in the morning. I am still taking a portion of the new Levoxyl and still have problems with loose stools. It is definitely better than taking the whole dose, but still a problem. I noticed that she is listed as a STTM doctor so I may hear how I need to be on T3. I am willing to try anything, but Armour as far as T3 goes. I will not go on Synthroid either. We have been trying to deal with my daughter's problems this past week. She did some labs last week. Her early morning testing showed quite a low reading on cortisol. So, when she goes back on the 18th the plan is to do another type test called adrenal stimulation. It will take an hour as they need three readings. She was also taken off the Armour to help with the anxiety. If we can just finally get some answers... It seems like old times to be able to read everyone's latest news on here. Thanks, Janet! Have a good evening everyone.

How do you get to the other threads? Hi Katen once you sign in with your username. & Password click Home in the top purple banner. That will take you to a General Forum Folder. Click open that Folder. That will open two seperate sections. There are two other folders with titles, continuing to scroll down, you'll the the original heading of welcome to our new forum, directly below that is another title called Levoxyl. Click on that title and that will directly take you to the chats of who are chatting about Levoxyl. Hope this helps you. Sorry been busy. I drive down once weekly to Carmel Valkey Scripps to get my bladder Catherized. & a treatment instilled, just did my second one today. But with all these darn fillers & my new odd reaction to Levothyroxine in general I have Flared my IC of the bladder up terribly and haven't been able to empty at all therefore not ridding all the nasty toxins. Pfizer really messed with my body chemistry as I never really had this specific issue ever before our recall in 2013. I've also did try the compound T 4/ T3 with acidophilus and it made everything much worse. I stayed on it for 3 weeks. But the torture of body pain and not able to empty bladder or bowels was a constant horrible mess. I had to give up totally. Once I have cleared out my high RT3, though not optimal I'm feeling So much better. I'm working very cautiously now with Cytomel & WP Thyroid. Lactose mono hydrate is only bad culprit in that but not shutting me down thank goodness. : )) being totally shut down was really scary to have being able to go to the bathroom at all days on end. Not just simple constipation but couldn't empty or even try to get any urine out at all. I blew up full of toxins fairly quickly. Scary stuff. I at keat have energy again and so happy to go to the bathroom now and be so scared of needing to go but not being able To. I wave each time I see the sign for your Area , it's so kewl to know how close we are. : )) please take care & I truly hope you are being treated well with the compound , I pray for you & Carol's heart and hope all stays stable. & calm for both of you. My min had her stint put in but still really struggling with progressive dementia that each time we talk I know I've lost a little more of her from the time before. My heart breaks for her so much as she & I had such a strong bond, but I understand it's progress & am learning to accept her as she is today because at some point she won't be here to talk to at all. Hope you're doing well plz take care and to all of us on this crazy journey. It's a tricky ride for sure : )) Stacey : ))

Stacey:
I appreciate your directions on how to get to the other threads. And sorry to hear about your badder problem. That is quite a drive you are doing once a week. But worth it for sure if you get relief. When it gets cooler and if you feel up to it you should call me and we can arrange a visit. I cannot function well now in this heat, but I am only a mile off the freeway.
I need to increase the T4 - my TSH is slowly increasing. Not surprised - I was told my optimal dose would be 100-125 .
Sue:
A couple of years ago I too was diagnosed with low cortisol but it was night cortisol. By morning it is OK. I was prescribed with over the counter 500 mg viT C and 500 mg B-5 three times a day and the problem resolved. I think I need that again. Every night I awake at 1A.
Take care!
Karen

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry for all the typos but I was getting ready for bed and finally remembered reading that Karen was having troubles seeing other chats, so I quickly wanted to jump on and type a quick message. On my phone our chat box only offers very small text at least from the way I'm getting on that I just quickly & messy typed out a note. : ))
Sue isn't it so odd that Levoxyl now is creating loose stools for you and no matter what dose increase I try w/it, it completely shuts my whole system down. Geeez so crazy how it reacts in just the few of us lol. I know from the Facebook group I'm on so many are still struggling with their journey as well.
Im sorry to hear about your daughter I only had the dumb morning blood draw for cortisol which was good, however I have been looking into my Iron/Ferritin issues as someone mentioned a term called "Pooling" I'm still reading it and breaking it down to see if I fit the criteria of such a thing. (Which very well could be possible) I know I've struggled with being Anemic. But iron and vitamin C for better absorption is going to be difficult with my tummy & Bladder issues. But still going to study this Pooling completely before I walk away.
Karen, I know the heat has been rough these last few days & days to come are in the 100's for us up here in the Valley. I so just need a few beach days to just chill out thank goodness on a week day it's only a 45 min drive to Oceanside Harbor Beach, and they keep their restrooms open & clean year around. : )) I'm sorry you're still needing a T4 boost but can understand that, it's appears to be the hardest thing to do successfully right now for do many of us. I'm sending lots of good thoughts & prayers your way. Yes I would love to meet up one day after my instill. I'm leaving for my first football trip Sept 25 & home late Oct 7, so let's plan for a cooler mid Oct. Day. I'm getting 9 instills and just had my second one. And yes very Worth the drive. I made it there yesterday in just shy of an hour : )) Traffic at 9:00 am is much better that at 8:00 am, I learned that the hard way. Lol!
Everyone Take Care and have a great Day!! Stacey : ))

Wow! I just learned NOT to take fresh garlic before bed, which I did last night for sinus swelling. I had nightmares I cannot describe. If you check the Internet you will see that garlic will do that. If you take it with food it is less likely to cause the nightmares.

Good to hear from you, Kat! You are really making good progress and I'm so glad. Exercising 5 days a week! And lost 8 pounds! I am impressed. I will be exercising from now on, for the rest of my life. I've struggled with the cardiac rehab but I felt better this week about some progress. But I am concerned that stressing myself that much and building up that much heat has been the cause of my nightly migraines. On the other hand, it could be one of my new medications. Figuring this one out is harder than the thyroid issues, but like the thyroid issues they are going to take time. I guess the thyroid journey has taught me some patience (some......). On the other hand, I'm pretty worn out from it all. I had an ECHO this week. I'll get the report the first of next week but don't see the doctor until the following one. I had a colonoscopy and EGD with no major problems (yay!). I'm having a "pill cam" soon to ooh at the small intestine. I'm especially interested in that since that is where thyroid meds are absorbed. I see the endo in 3-1/2 weeks. My levels have been stable and I don't anticipate any changes, although I am extra fatigued. I guess that's to be expected with the type of exercise I'm doing. I have my annual ultra sound and Tg/TgAB testing in late Nov./early Dec.
Sending good thoughts to all! Have a lovely weekend.
Carol (cabro)
