Hi Kat, I agree. This board is so simple and I am right now just clicking on "quick reply" and posting. I am so glad to see people here. Sorry to see Karen hasn't registered yet. Hopefully soon. Posting as a guest is fine too, just so we sign our names I am taking Levoxyl .125 mcgs and doing soooooo much better than I was. I am so happy and feeling close to my old self again. Blood work in a couple weeks. The new Levoxyl is just fine but it takes a lot of time and patience. We have put our bodies through a lot and it takes a good 3 weeks or so to feel the Levoxyl working without the annoying side effects but it does work great - give it time and hang in there Janet

I made an avatar too. I also think I set it up so that I get e-mail when someone posts, but I guess I won't find out until someone does.

Cabro: At the time I sent that message I could not get through on my user name and password. Every time the "prove you are not a machine" came up I typed in a response and it did not agree. So i went on as a guest. That also happened today.
Hope you get your iron issue corrected and your colonoscopy goes well. I am due for that next year. Ugh!
So are you feeling much better? I sure hope so - you have been through so much.
I have an apt today with another ENT for PE tubes - let us see what HE says. This is getting very frustrating.
Last labs show an increase in TSH. I have a feeling I am going to have to up my compounded. I have been on Synthroid since Mar 12, first on 75 mcg, then in April 87.5 mcg, June to 100 mcg, so I am not at my optimal dose yet. It takes time.

Note; in June I switched to 100 mcg compounded.

Hi Janet, Cabro, Stacey, KarenG and Karen W....Sorry for not writing but like everyone else I have been very busy. I had a minor set back with a terrible cold and lost two weeks and just had to rest. I am still on the levoxyl(200mcg's) every day. I am feeling so much better. Started back to walking and exercising five days a week. I lost eight of the ten pounds I gained. It really is hard. Sometimes I still get tired and achy but nothing like the beginning of the journey. I hope everyone is feeling okay. Janet, are you still on the levoxyl? How are you feeling? Thank you so very much for setting up this forum. I am staying here and not returning to the old reinvented blog. I thought it was cruel and rude to just take it away. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. Will go for blood work in September. Usually do not procrastinate but just needed a break. My Doctor understood. Will write soon....Kathy(KAT) Hi Kat, I am so sorry about your cold and am glad you're feeling better. I am doing good on Levoxyl as well, thanks to you and all your support I cannot wait to see you post your blood work results.

Also, have no idea how to start a new thread. Don't know if that's necessary in our group anyway....

Ah. To start a new topic/thread, go to "Home" tab. I found the avatar instructions. Will see what I can do.

Well......I wrote out a reeeeally long reply but accidentally closed the tab. Sigh. I'll write again later. I looked all over. How do you make an avatar here? Cabro Aww Cabro I'm sorry I have been trying to make an avatar to it said down at the bottom to "do not try to make an avatar using mobile service." Yep I'm on my iphone Lol! I'll have to sign on later on my surface tablet and hopefully get cute : )) Also just an FYI...I have found while typing on my iphone that if I go to "send a new email" and completely type out my post I can then proof read then select all, hit copy and then go on here hit Reply and hit Paste!! That's works great b/c I'm always doing things and may not have time to finish my reply Also on my phone the text on this board is very small to type so I need to go to email and enlarge my text first then hit select all, then copy /paste. Them I just hit delete my email body. Hope this info helps you. Stacey : ))

Hi everyone....I really had fun making the KAT AVATAR. I will have to go back and restyle the hair.(haha). I am so glad to be back with all of you. I had no problems getting on and I really like that they e-mail YOU after someone had just posted. It is really hard to believe that LABOR DAY is here and it is September. We had a terrible summer, just rainy and not very hot. I am praying that we do not have another polar winter Again, so nice to hear and connect with all of you. Will write soon WITH A NEW AVATAR LOOK...lOVE ....KATHY

Very resourceful, Stacey!!
Love your freckles, Janet! LOL
Karen, at the very top of this page, in the purple banner that says FORUM, there are some tabs below it, still in the purple part. "Profile" is one of the choices.
Glad to be here with y'all!

Janet - love the freckles!
CAROL: IF YOU SIGN on as a guest you do not get the profile in the purple horizontal column. I signed on today with my e mail and password and got it on the sight. Tried to upload a picture of Whisper and me but it did not work. Have to figure that one out.
Also, since having the cavity filled today I have lost all the bad symptoms regarding the left ear. ALL of them. It is amazing how the teeth can affect each organ. Everything continues to go very well with the thyroid. Very gratefull for the excellent ENT care.

Oh Meant to add. I went back to the ER Clinic at the hospital, (NOT the Emergency room) and all is OK with the heart. They did an EKG and some blood work and of course listened to the heart. Everything great. I could kick the dentist for what she did to me - for those not familiar with the story, I went to a dentist who replaced an old filling and she botched it up twice. It came out each time(twice) before even the Lidacaine wore off. She then said that if a filling does not hol after three attempts she usually does a crown, which is $1000.0 more than a filling. In the meantime, there were several days that the cavity went unprotected and a viral infection passed through the tooth into the middle and inner ear. Now that it is fixed I notice such a difference. No more "ear in motion! No more pain. Wonderful. I am very grateful for the wonderful ENT that discovered this. Sometime the story turns out well in the end, but Oh my did I suffer!

Hi, Karen I am so sorry about your tooth. I have had that same problem and have not liked Dentists since!! I honestly don't even think of it as an exact science.

Hi everybody I am so loving all of your Avatars I tried to make some Sub-boards, I am still working on that ... might take a bit of time but I am trying. I thought it would be cool to post under Levoxyl, Synthroid and Compounded/generic specifically as well as on the general boaed. Also a good way to ask about side effects and post positive results and such of each drug .... Please post your thoughts as I have no clue what I am doing and would welcome ideas. I am doing GREAT on Levoxyl, better every day. I just had to stick it out and get past small side effects and realize some of it was "being hypo" Kat helped me so much with that - thanks Kat Janet
